for the record I will refuse to go either as a competitor or a spectator to the Tokyo Olympics in protest of Japan's hateful and racist misrepresentations of Godzilla, Mothra and Battra.

While I would love for Chicago to be a candidate, it's highly unlikely. Our mayor has stated that he has no interest in bidding for Chicago to be America's candidate

Right now the American cities that have expressed interest are Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, Boston, etc.

I was rooting for Madrid but nevertheless Tokyo seems better than Istanbul. Congrats!
