The American Dream is a parody of what you really get.
You have to earn the "American dream". It's not given on a silver-platter. But at least you can get there with Protestant work ethic having been the main driving factor.
Look at the population, we been living side by side officially for about 140+ years and they only have a population of 38 million.
This point isn't valid, because most of Canada (especially in the north) gets very cold and inhospitable in the winters, so there will of course be a lack of population there.
America is not for everyone. Lazy people should stay in Europe.
Did you ever hear about the leading industrialized nations, the Group of Eight? Well, three of them are European countries. Sure they are members of the group because their folks are lazy.
These threads are simply stupid and leading nowhere.

All of Europe has a GDP of 14,430 compared to 13,743 GDP of the US. Broken down that comes to 45,563 for Americans and 29,433.40 for Europeans. I have a low paying job but I still make more than the average European!

I don't like the materialism aspect of the US but I do think we have the best cost of living of any high income country. Most Americans can afford their own house and a private car even without a college degree. The high cost of living in Europe is probably the main reason their birthrate has fallen off the map (it take a long time to have the money needed for children)
