Really? The travel agent told us to only go there if we like to go out and drink. I guess it may be geared towards same-sex, but I never heard of that from anyone, lol. Not saying I don't believe you, because I do. Just saying.

Any suggestions on the "seasons". I've lived in and been to plenty of resorts/tourist towns in the off season and most everything is shut. Don't want that. Therefore is there any action in the spring or fall or is it just July and August? Any good possibilities in the Med during the winter or not?

The Med is not subtropical. It gets chilly in the winter. But Hvar is fairly southern. The Canarys might work for you.
What about Tunisia? It's not the Med, but it looks very interesting to me. Cheap flights out of Paris.

I loved Hvar.
Montenegro was lovely and relaxing, too, and a little bit cheaper, but not much.
Santorini was absolutely gorgeous, and so was Crete.
Coastal France *south* of the Riviera can be beautiful, relaxing, and relatively unspoiled.
Cyprus has always intrigued me, as has Malta. Some day...

I think it's sort of like going to San Francisco. It's there if you want it, and you might notice it, but Mykonos is more than a gay party island.

Tunisia is the Med. It is on the southern shore of the Med.

Why thank you kindly for the correction. It's amazing what you can learn when you bother to look at a map!

Yes, I guess if you're looking at nightlife, you might want to choose a different spot of you are hetero. My old boyfriend did have a guy come onto him on Mykonos.
