This excerpt, found at the bottom of page 209, is a precise description of the way I've felt about living in Los Angeles. I've never felt part of the local L.A. culture. Have never cared for the brand name driven, materialistic, consumerist mentality which overtly presides out here.
However, after 30 years of L.A. living I must admit, this is my home and, ". . .I know that I belong here. . ."
