Never thought about it before but you're right!! Sort of like "everyone farts but silently (if possible)".
I know it's gross but urine is sterile (usually) so there's no real danger from bacterial contamination from it. It's the bacteria that come from the bowel that causes "swimmer's ear", which is very painful. (I had it once.)
are you kidding me . that is what swimmers ear comes from?
disgusting. I thought it was just water not drying properly in your ears
had no idea it was actually fecal matter.. good lord

No, it's not really "fecal matter". Our butts have the E. coli growing on the outside areas of the mucus membrane and it gets into the water that way. It's a bacterial infection that grows in a moist environment, as when the ear canal is constantly wet from swimming every day and not drying out well overnight. It's the E. coli bacteria (usually) that caused the infection and when the water isn't properly chlorinated, the bacteria lives on in the water to get into your ear.
Said our service manager to a lube tech who screwed something up.

good post and you even left some room for imagination!
what is the deal with people saying per se
what is the proper use of this term
lately i have noticed everyone except me throwing this in at the end of a comment
what exactly is the proper use?
just wondering if anyone knows per se
by itself, or in itself, or of itself.
I see it a lot, too, only way too many people spell it "per say".
