I just have to share this one with you. Doc Emerick is a play-by-play announcer, who has a PhD and describes the fast-paced ongoing action of a hockey game in complete, grammatically and syntactically correct sentences. The other night in the Detroit game, two players (as hockey players are wont to do) squared off with the intention of knocking each other's few remaining teeth out, and were separated by a referee who awarded each of them a 2-minute penalty for their extra-curricular activity. Emerick said "It is a morality play -- an evening at the Joe Louis Arena".
He'll probably do the game tonight (Wed), if you wish, NBC Sports network, Chicago-Detroit game 7. It's a delight.
