I think calling pets "fur babies" and so on is abhorrent and insulting to animals by relegating complex, fascinating, fully-formed sexual and social creatures to infants and homunculi so ignorant, so infantalizing, on so many levels that I instantly relegate such users to ignore status as clearly not true animal lovers.
