I love British English words and phrases: skint, gobsmacked, here-here, bloody
I've always loved the words: cobbler, gregarious, disingenuous, labyrinth, scintillating, effete, magnanimous, perspicacious, ennui, edification, erudite, genuflect, idiopathic, diaphoretic (learned it from watching the old TV show "Emergency!" with Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe and have loved it ever since)
Malaise
My late MIL was quite literary, and had a wry wit. She sent a note to my husband's teacher regarding his absence. She said he had been suffering from general malaise. This always makes me smile.
