From chaloir < Latin calēre to be warm.

I think chalance should be an architectural term or at least a part of a chandelier.

Technically speaking, nonchalant could be the description of some cool-blue hued Halogen, H11 HID, Xenon or LED light bulbs, maybe in Paris or ancient Rome.
