You see how great this is? We owe it to each other to make these observations. We can all use improvement.

People should not be offended when people correct them. It makes them, in a small way, a better person.

Thank you. I try to correct people by example rather than correcting them directly but sometimes the "wrong" is so egregious to my ears that I am either left speechless or the correction just jumps out of my mouth.

I wouldn't mind being corrected if only the "corrector" had a clue and wasn't correcting me incorrectly. NOTHING gets my ire more than that.

As I am not. Thank you for the correction

Could not agree more.

But really, I could care less.

If the bad grammar bothers me, I can only imagine how frustrated the professor must be.
When I was a writing tutor in college I asked myself the same thing. Some kids came into the center every time they had a paper and never learned a thing. I don't have perfect grammar, but at least I can pull together a sentence that makes sense.

"Who" refers to people. "That" (or "which") refers to things. English majors are bizarre creatures, it is true, but they are still people.

I guess eating a caveman diet makes you assemble language like a caveman, too.

That is all.
