Sometimes 'tis better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to use one's fingers and prove it so.
Sorry about putting two jokes on one line; I can see that that could be confusing. The misspelling that you highlighted was quite intentional, with tongue firmly in cheek.
Actually I know a restaurant with the sign:
Bob's Family Dinning.
And an auto/tire shop:
BJ's Alinement Services.
And while I am thinking about it, a privately-owned Family Dollar type store that has a sign painted on the side of the building including the word:
DOLLOR STORE!
What gets me is all these signs were painted, presumably, by professional sign painters who were paid for their work.
And nobody even cared that the spelling was completely off?
I used to live very close to the "alinement" place but I figured, if they couldn't be bothered spelling what they did correctly, I certainly had no faith they cared much about the quality of their work so I went further afield when my tires needed rotating and alining.
And similarly, apart from driving by and laughing and pointing, the dinning place in Harrisville MI never saw a dime from me.
As my family knows, I refuse to eat any restaurant food that is misspelled on the menu.
Thus, no, "Aspargus with Holland Days Sauce", for me, no, "Eggplant Rollantini", no, "Vinegarette Dressing", and no, "Lasaunya".
I have always wondered if the restaurants that serve, "Holland Days", Sauce also have a, "Holland Nights", Sauce. It might actually be more interesting.

One thing that absolutely makes me fume is "rediculous."
This misspelling is so pervasive it really makes me wonder what these people learned in school.
If anything.
Yes, "rediculous", is something that I seem to see more and more often in blogs.
If it becomes any more pervasive, it just might replace my current pet peeve, "alot".

That's just redonkulous!
