Which brings me to another per peeve of mine. Since when did "conversate" replace "converse"? I have heard this made up word so often lately.
Conversate has been around for many years and comes from Black English. I hear it mainly on courtroom tv shows from people appearing before a judge. Judge Judy will snap that it isn't a word. I dread for its usage to become more widespread.
Another hilarious one from the Relationships forum.

Not sure what "black" English is... However, conversate has been around since the 1600s..
