I heard "heart rendering" twice in the same day, from two different people.

I think that I hear this expression spoken incorrectly more often than I hear it uttered correctly.

But...look on the bright side!
In just a few months, we will be able to hear people talking about, "Fall Foilage".

Every year, I am astounded to hear so many people who cannot pronounce, "foliage".

Harsh weather -- rain and wind - can foil the Fall display of color, resulting in "foilage".

My gosh!
I never thought about that!

My ignorance on this topic is...rediculous.

Have we already discussed the fairly recent conversion of, "ridiculous", into, "rediculous"?
I see that new non-word everywhere, unfortunately.

I'm also seeing too many comas.

Many years ago, I worked for a school principal who fancied himself to be quite the intellectual.
One of his favorite responses to people was, "Oh, that's a mute point".
And, on more than one occasion, he categorized something as, "a Fiat Accompli".

After the faculty meeting where he first uttered his, "Fiat Accompli", statement, one of the teachers asked me what those words meant.
With a dead-pan expression on my face, I informed her that the principal was referring to his new, small Italian-made car that came equipped with every possible accessory.
That teacher walked away even more confused than she was when she posed her question to me.

I hated to do that to her, but...The Devil made me do it...

It seems that a lot of people are lapsing into a coma nowadays.
