Not writing but spoken -

people, please remember that "else" is not spelt with a T.

I cannot count how many times I hear it, usually on American shows.

Do it or elts.

My own daughter left me a note today: "My laundrie's done. Can I go out later?"

If we didn't look so alike I might assume she was switched at birth.

Talking about a recipe on the food forum...

Quote:
garlic oil butter and anchovy cooked for a couple of hours till soft and unctuous.
Unctuous? Huh?
Unctuous - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Mind you unctuous is a verrrry nice word. In the proper context.

The writer of the sentences posted below is set to enter grad school in August to continue working on English and Creative Writing. When she graduates, she will enter my zero tolerance zone.

"This week, sweet Emily really put me through the ringer."

"He had went to the store."
