I had a friend once who insisted that she could not leave home "without her face".
Meaning her makeup.

I'm rather spontaneous. I lost patients.
If my orthopedic surgeon decided to get spontaneous on my treatment plan, he'd lose this patient too!

"Hey, I've got this random idea - call me crazy, but...HOW 'BOUT YOU TRY PUTTING A LITTLE MAKEUP ON YOUR FOOT AND SEE IF THAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER?"

Announcers from my state, who pronounce it:

Kun-nettu-kit

Connecticut - should be prounced

Kun-netti-kut - they got the vowels reversed.

Also announcers who pronounce the station's call letters: Dubba-you A B C - instead of Double-You
