[Trust me, everyone does not say "I SEEN that." Some people say it. I have never said it and I rarely hear anyone I know say it. I hear it on tv and read it in forums.]

True. I should have not painted with a broad brush. A lot of people in the area I live in say and write it. May not be the case everywhere. It "feels" like it's everywhere

[You've just said it more than I have ever said it .

BTW - why does everyone say "everyone?"]

lol got me there, too....again, didn't mean to do that. I guess that day I just hit my limit!

WHY does everyone say "I SEEN that"? You SAW it. No matter the situation, tense, whatever....now it's common (and stupid) to say "I seen that".
Drives me nuts.

Along those same lines, I also frequently hear "I had went to (wherever)" or "I gone to the (whatever)." No, no, no, no, NO.

You must live in Illinois too.

"....Hoard after marauding hoard laying waste ....."

Well, they do sound the same. It is an example of why the English language is difficult to learn since we do have more than most.

I think that many will agree with me that two spelling errors in the space of only five words is quite an accomplishment!

I don't know who Jacoby is, but maybe he's a Wall Street trader!

We have to assume she isn't a professional writer but interpret for me this bit of writing on the subject of that sign (math?), from a pro .
