I was reading The Forest For The Trees, a book for writers written by an editor. The book stressed the importance of proofreading, but I found the "spelll" in its pages!
Seriously, I had a friend who would say, Can't see the farce for the trees.
A I may have mentioned earlier in this thread, if I open a restaurant menu and there's a typo on it, the typo will jump off the page within seconds.
Last night I went to an Italian place with a friend with whom I went to a very strict secretarial school nearly 35 years ago. I opened the menu, immediately spied a typo, and asked her if she still notices misspellings and punctuations errors on menus, too. She said, "Cavtelli"?
Just now read this one:
"Please come back when you have something of value to add instead of just insulating that I am a horrible human being because I am sick of being asked to take care of people who cant (and mostly don't want) to take care of themselves."
