Saw a sign today on a lot where they are building a new supermarket. It said: COMMING SOON.

Hey...at least it wasn't "Cumming soon!"

On the local morning News yesterday the girl used the term 'fessed up instead of confessed to when referring to a crime. "She fessed up to embezzling $160,000." OMG!

I just saw a post with "taken for granite," which I hope was a joke.

In another forum here on CD, someone referred to the "marshall community." He meant the military. Apparently, "martial" isn't listed in his dictionary.

I've seen that before, fleetiebelle. Unfortunately, it's not a joke.

Here's something I never ran across before this new poster appeared in one of the fora. She capitalizes nearly every word in her posts.
Here's an example:
Would You Still Consider Dating A Girl Who Has Had Such Surgery?

I find it extremely annoying to read her posts. It's even more annoying than reading posts containing no capitalizations!

Here's something else I find most annoying: people who use apostrophes when all they really wanted to do was make a plural. Like a flower store advertising Rose's.

Proly instead of probably.

Probably popular with texters who then use it in e-mails as well as more formal writing.

Do they also say it this way, thinking it's proper? After all, they see it spelled that way often enough...so it must be right!

Silly and stupid.

That's getting more and more common. How can we stop it?
