It's late, I'm exhausted, and this is my first time visiting this section of CD. This thread is a drug and I can't tear myself away. I'm just sitting here giggling. Thanks for the humor.
I write this and keep checking for errors of my own...
Oh, those Grammar Nazis are watching over my shoulder, fer sure.

Welcome to the party, Gypsy!
You misspelled Grammar, though. Don't you know when you respond here your supposed to use Grammer?
I first became aware of it on Cold Cases. I wondered why they were saying that and even though I hear it in many more places now, it still sounds strange.
I'm not sure whether or not this is regional but realized some time ago how odd a phrase is that was not at all uncommon where I grew up.
I've never been able to determine any logical part of speech it would be when parsing a sentence.
Example : "Wait up " as in "Wait up for me"

Not long ago the use of dis-way was posted here. The example below is from 2014, so is a different post, but perhaps from same person?
"...it does appear to me that you try very hard to dis-way people about learning about health care in other countries, and are always very quick to cast negative aspersions on them."

As opposed to positive aspersions, I suppose...
In addition to his/her problems with spelling, the person who originally posted that gem also needs to learn about redundancies.
