How about "not so much"....."all that and a bag of chips"....."shake what your mamma gave ya"

I don't like the overuse and/or incorrect use of the following words, either: "absolutely", "closure", and "literally".

I hate it when people say "At the end of the day blah blah blah..."

At the end of the day it's midnight, end of story.

I can't stand "back in the day," a replacement for "in the old days."

Have we not heard enough of the phrase, "We're not in Kansas anymore"?
(And now Cameron uses it in Avatar? I couldn't believe it. Even though The Wizard of Oz was supposed to be his favorite movie, that phrase is so overused that it's practically become a cliche.

"I ASSume"
Got raked over the coals by an administrator for using the word. By using the word I made an ass out of myself for assuming (according to her). I hesitate to use the word, and when people do I have flash backs of my old boss.

I too hate "closure". I also know someone I don't like who always say AB-solutely, drawing out the "AB". I want to smack her.

I don't mind "literally" if it's used correctly, but uses like "I was so embarrassed I literally died" makes me want to scream.

Another one I hate the overuse of is "gifting".
