For serious offshore fishing, the store stocks dock ladders, GPS options, and underwater lighting. Fishing apparel and belts and harnesses are also available. 5. Grove Skate Park At Peacock Park

Description: Nestled in Coconut Grove’s popular Peacock Park, this 10,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor facility is run by One Cool World, a not-for-profit organization that offers various activities for children in the community. Scholarships and sliding scale rates are available for Miami residents that qualify. Rails, quarter pipes, wedges, and 28-foot-wide mini ramp can all be found here. There’s also an easier beginner’s course. The park is open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mon through Thurs, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fri, and 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sat and Sun. Admission is $10 Mon through Thurs; $13 on Fri, Sat, and Sun. Equipment like skateboards, helmets, and protection for wrists, knees, and elbows can be rented for $3 each. Private lessons cost $45 an hour.

Description: Miami locals in need of a little Zen visit this friendly Coconut Grove studio. A wide variety of yoga classes are available daily from yogi standards like Anusura and Vinyasa to the studio’s own hybrids like Funyasa (a playful class celebrating movement), TriYoga (which incorporates elements from Taiji and Qigong), and YogAthletA (yoga aimed at athletes created by Cat Haayen). The studio also hosts workshops and the occasional New Age-y concert. Single, drop-in classes are $15. Class cards and unlimited memberships are also available.
