Address: 104 Bryan Woods Rd.

Description: This is the second restaurant with which Deen is affiliated, named for her brother and launched after it became obvious the Lady’s star was rising. If you can’t get a table downtown, this is the next best thing to sampling her food and possibly, catching a glimpse of Paula. Her brother, Earl (called “Bubba”) will more than likely greet you at the front door during lunch hours, but his schedule is almost as busy as hers. When he’s there, he’ll shake your hand and tell you how much he appreciates your patronage. The focus here is seafood, although a selection of Deen’s country cooking is also available. This restaurant serves as the lunch location in the Paula Deen Tour.

60. Monterey Square

City: Savannah, GA
Category: Tours & Attractions
Address: 400 block of Bull St.

Description: This square is home to many of the central events in the Book, but it’s worth a good look on its own merits. The massive central monument to Polish Count Casmir Pulaski, a hero of the American Revolution, has finally been returned to its pedestal, after a seemingly endless delay during its restoration. The absence was so long that when the movie of Midnight was filming on location, prop makers had to fake a version of the monument.
