Description: Located just off I-465 on the northwest side of Indianapolis, MorningSide is only minutes away from a wide variety of shopping, fine restaurants, theaters, banks, and St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center. MorningSide offers independent and assisted living apartments. Apartments feature a private patio or balcony with great views. Residents have 10 floor plans from which to choose. Each apartment offers a fully equipped kitchen and a walk-in shower and tub with shower. Garages and lake views also are available. MorningSide provides free tours and luncheons for interested retirees. Security is emphasized at MorningSide, where the building is locked and secure and visitors may enter only through the front atrium entrance. All side doors are locked and secure. Residents have keys to side doors. The main entrance is open until 10 p.m. each day, with the building staffed 24 hours a day.Three chef-prepared meals are served daily. The Brass Rose Restaurant offers a wide range of hot breakfast items, soups, entrees, vegetables, breads, desserts, and a full salad bar each day for lunch and dinner. Residents often bring their church friends and their family so they can host Sunday dinner just as they used to in their homes. Residents are welcome to have pets in their apartments. Dogs must weigh less than 25 pounds and have proof of health and vaccinations. There is a pet deposit and rent premium per month to have a pet. Dogs must live on the first floor so they can easily get outside. Birds, cats, and fish can reside throughout the building. Amenities include no buy-in endowment or entrance fee and a month-to-month lease only. The monthly rent includes all utilities, plus free local telephone service and free basic cable-television service. State-of-the-art exercise equipment and a hot tub are available. A 24-hour emergency call program is offered, as are weekly free blood-pressure checks. Also on-site are complimentary laundry rooms, valet service, beauty salon, plant room and garden plots, elevators, individual locked mailboxes, a library, full-time social director, chapel, computer, and Internet access, Sunday services, a courtyard and gazebo, Red Hat Society chapter, and movie theater with films shown twice daily. A monthly newsletter is provided. Fees range from $500 to $1,500 per month.
