Description: On the north side of Oklahoma City sits Buddha Tao. It is a Pan-Asian restaurant, bar and lounge that features contemporary Asian cuisine and traditional and one of a kind sushi. As in the Zen-Master style, décor is deep reds and browns with lush fabrics and Asian and Japanese accents throughout. The upstairs bar, called Opium Lounge, offers comfortable seating, low tables, candlelight and deejay driven music that makes Buddha Taoa unique experience in Oklahoma City’s dining and nightlife options. Food is served on most nights until close. Buddha Tao has Oklahoma’s largest selection of sake. They serve import and domestic beer, fine wine and make a variety of martinis. Prices range from $3 for domestic beers to $12 glasses of wine. The establishment has a dance floor that is nearly 800 square feet. Dancing is always encouraged. A variety of music is played like Top 40, old school 80’s, current R&B, classic rock. During happy hour while the music is contemporary and tends on the rock side, it does allow patrons to carry on conversation without any trouble. On Thurs, Fri, and Sat nights starting at 11 p.m., guests can enjoy music played by local, regional, and national deejays.The restaurant and bar are open Tues through Sun for lunch beginning at 11 a.m. and closes at 2 a.m. Closed Mon, but will open for private parties.
