Description: Housed in several buildings, St. Pius X serves approximately 380 students from preschool and prekindergarten through eighth grade. Accredited by both the State of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Conference of Catholic Schools, St. Pius X was named a “Blue Ribbon School” by the U.S. Department of Education for its academically superior program.A unique feature of the school is its Synergistic Lab for middle school students. Here lessons in earth and physical science are taken out of the textbook and put in real-life situations. It’s a method that makes the learning immediately meaningful, and kids love it.The general curriculum is supplemented with art and music and extras like the Academic Bowl, Mathcounts, Boy and Girl Scouts, speech and drama, and yearbook.Students participate in daily prayers and weekly Mass. Uniforms are required. Tuition for 2009–2010 was $3,460 for Catholic families, $5,525 for nonparishoners.
