Retirement

There are so many reasons to live and work in Tulsa. And there are just as many reasons to retire here. The cost of living in the area is attractive and you’ll have access to a wide variety of cultural and educational opportunities. There are innumerable places to utilize your talents—whether it’s guiding guests through one of the city’s fine museums, mentoring young people, or planting a garden. Have time to learn something new? The educational opportunities in Tulsa are amazing, affordable, and convenient. If you don’t want to enroll in a regular class, check out the continuing education offerings, short courses, and seminars. Looking for social activities and fun? Consider the senior center programs through the city Parks Department—join a bridge group, play bunko, or learn how to dance the Salsa.

Let’s face it, though, the golden years aren’t always so golden—sometimes health and family issues create problems. Even in these circumstances, there’s a silver lining. Tulsa has an amazing service that provides help and information to get you through tough times. Life Services has done a lot of your legwork for you and can help you find solutions and services to deal with difficulties.

All in all, in good times and not so good times, it’s good to be in Tulsa—a friendly place, an affordable place, and an attractive place—a good place to call “home.”
