Description: Another of the new entertainment venues, the Ferguson brings the Peninsula a pair of top-drawer stages for musicals, ballets, orchestras, and other live entertainment. The Music & Theatre Hall is intimate and the larger Concert Hall exquisite, providing an opportunity for everything from magic acts to the London Philharmonic or Moscow State Radio Symphony orchestras. In 2010, the Ferguson hosted Israel Ballet’s Don Quixote and the Moscow Festival Ballet’s Swan Lake. From the highbrow classics of Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, to the high jinks and jokes of Jeff Foxworthy, it’s all likely to wind up on the Ferguson’s calendar. The Virginia Symphony Orchestra also calls Ferguson one of its many homes.
