Description: Another contender for best Indian food in town, Taj stakes its claim on the south side of town and is just minutes from downtown. Taj is located in a sort of mini-strip mall with a parking lot between it and Park Street. The menu offers a variety of curries paired with lamb, beef, chicken, vegetables, or seafood. Tandoori is also on the menu of course. The spiciness of dishes is adjusted to client wishes. Vegetarian options are numerous but the vegetable biryani (a basmati rice dish similar to paella) might be the king of the lot. Wine and domestic and Indian beers are served.
