Critical: Sanitizer - Criteria/Chemicals for food contact* (corrected on site) Observation: The sanitizing agent available for use on food contact surfaces does not meet the requirements of 40 CFR 180.940 (scented and splashless varieties of "bleach"). Note: no food was in preparation nor was there any food contact surface in need of sanitizing at time of inspection, so no sanitizing agent was actually in use.
Correction: Use only sanitizing agents that meet the requirements of 40 CFR 180.940 when applying to food contact surfaces. If using chlorine, use only unscented regular bleach (acquired at either conventional strength or concentrated), diluted to appropriate parts per million, as per the temperature and the pH of the water.
