The purpose of today's visit was to conduct a routine assessment. Discussed public health implications of storing food on floor. During receipt of a delivery, please be advised to immediately store food in a manner that prevents contamination from physical, chemical, and biological contaminants. Food Storage / Preventing Contamination (repeated violation) Observation: Food stored on the floor and/or food stored less than 6 inches off the floor. OBSERVED BAG OF PURPLE ONIONS BEING STORED ON FLOOR IN DRY STORAGE.
Correction: Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food at least 6 inches off the floor on approved shelving units or dunnage racks. Milk crates, soda crates, or bread racks are not suitable for food storage. ONIONS MOVED OFF FLOOR.

The purpose of this visit is a first routine inspection. Thank you for your participation as it allows me to clarify any issues or questions. Food Storage / Preventing Contamination Observation: Food such as steak, egg whites, inside boxes stored on the floor in the walk in freezer stored less than 6 inches off the floor. In addition, a bag of red onions received from a delivery was placed directly on the the floor.
Correction: Manager placed the red onions on a cart. Manager agrees to elevate the frozen food in the walk in refrigerator. Elevate the food Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food at least 6 inches off the floor on approved shelving units or dunnage racks. Milk crates, soda crates, or bread racks are not suitable for food storage.
