Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Real-Life Flip Or Flop? This Time, It Doesn't Involve Houses

Posted 12-19-2016 at 09:24 AM by case44

What's this? I was going to pronounce them as my favorite TV couple, as their HGTV series "Flip Or Flop" has become a favorite show of mine on that great channel. But would anyone have imagined some real-life drama going on between the two stars of that show?

Mind you, they're not actors, but real estate agents who have taken up house-flipping. Tarek and Christina El Moussa, the couple you see on that wonderful program flipping one house after another and turning a profit, are reportedly having marital problems. I never would have imagined this. Now, granted, in real estate-related businesses, there can be stress. Decisions have to be made regarding figuring out the most cost-effective ways to fix up houses and remodel them, or rebuild certain sections, or wondering how to deal with obstacles in the way. Each week, you see Tarek and Christina get through each problem and always come up with a solution.

Here they are now, in the news, with conflicts in their marriage. With so many different stories on this situation by a number of sources, I will go with TMZ's story on this, because there is credibility behind it (and because their host, Harvey Levin, is a good friend of Sean Hannity's, but that's another post ). You want to see solutions? Now, Tarek and Christina have to come up with a different solution, and that's the one that sees a resolution in their marriage. I hope they patch things up, since Christina is always smiling and all. Tarek's just real intense, but he seems like a decent enough guy. I'd hate to see them divorce when they have a very successful HGTV show going on.

Keep them in your prayers in the meantime. They don't need to go the way of many Hollywood actors and actresses.
