Welcome To Case's Column
Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.
In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.
Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!
Regards,

Had Enough Media Madness? Just Shut It Off
One thing about life today that we didn't have thirty years ago: Today, we've got the internet. And thank God for that.
We have more sources for media than we have ever had here in America. There are more news sources. Some of those sources are very bad nowadays. Reporting has simply turned into propagandizing. What a tragedy. It's a tragedy and a travesty when you consider that a profession which is supposed to be doing people a public service and give folks accurate news has turned largely into a partisan propaganda machine for the left wing in these same United States. Maybe former college basketball coach Bob Knight was on to something when he often chastised and shamed people in the media. He once told a group of young sportswriters and sports reporters that the career they chose "was one or two steps above prostitution". He easily could have said the same thing to today's crop of "news reporters". What passes for news anymore isn't even worth watching.
Exhibit A: This observation from our friend Rush Limbaugh. This was from today's show.
https://www.rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2...ake-scandal-2/
Today's Democrat Party is beyond disrepair and in permanent shambles, and it's going to be hard for them to recover from this. This is a party that is no longer sold out to Jack Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. They've sold out to the snowflakes, communists, and socialists and have chosen the behavior patterns that we've seen from them since Barack Hussein Obama was occupying the White House. It's gotten gradually worse since President Donald Trump was elected. In fact, I've never seen the rage and hate this bad directed at any one person. Politicians in general have let us down. They've let you down. They've let me down. This is why a businessman is now in the White House, and it's because it had become time somebody stood up and did something rather than talk about things and end up doing nothing. Trump is pro-active. He punches back. People are not used to it, but it is so refreshing. Republicans have been too weak for too long. Trump is trying to change that.
And that's what today's news media has a problem with. NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN are not providing viewers bonafide journalism. They're just lying to us. They're active participants in this corruption atrocity in Washington, D.C. FOX News, while still mostly balanced, is on the bubble and leaning a little left now, and that's troubling. One America News and Newsmax are about all we've got going on the tube. CNS online news is still a pretty good source on the internet when one can't watch TV. Many people no longer include networks such as CNN or MSNBC into their homes anymore. We can see right through the BS and inside the bias. Americans are so fed up with the senseless attacks on our President and with the daily cramming of pure hate, and it's because the left can't act like decent adults after an election loss. They cannot get over it. It's sad. It's psychotic. These people need serious psychiatric help.
In the meantime, those of you who work in hotels and restaurants, please do your clientele a favor: Turn off CNN. Don't let it show any time of day in the lobby. Don't let it show any time of day in the bar. Or the window seats. Or the waiting area. Or the....
It's time to shut off these biased networks once and for all. Your sanity and our country will be way better off.

You're right.
Trump punches back. Because of that, I'll be one of the first people in line when my polling place opens next fall and casting my vote for Trump just like I did in '16.
I don't pay any attention to media either. And I also don't take calls from pollsters. Never let your enemies know what you're doing. Surprise them. Just like 2016!Posted 09-29-2019 at 11:09 AM by MoNative34 -
FOX's Howard Kurtz points out another reason not to tune into these networks for opinion....

I moved back to Missouri in '14. I lived in central Texas just temporarily for work. Want to go back for a visit, but haven't gotten around to it.

Why would any TV viewer, news junkie, intellectual, or any other citizen who needs to know continue to allow themselves to be bombarded with brazen one-sidedness in news discussion? Why can't we have both sides fairly represented and presented?
We have bias today. It's out of hand, folks.Posted 09-30-2019 at 02:22 PM by case44 -

When you get a chance, just come on back.
Missouri, in the meantime, must have conservatives standing up behind our President and have House seats won in Congress by them next year. It's crucial, as you know.Posted 09-30-2019 at 02:24 PM by case44 -
Considering that ABC and CNN have been exposed already, this might be an encouraging trend. Fake news is finally getting recognized for the dung it is, with the disgusting people who run these operations getting egg on their faces.
Conservatives, in the end, will get the last laugh. The chickens are coming home to roost.Posted 10-15-2019 at 06:56 PM by Gurn350

^^^ ABC got exposed again, this time by James O'Keefe and the good folks at Project Veritas.

Please, conservatives, turn off the Fake News outlets during this important time. I follow our President on Twitter. That's how I have to get the real story. Thank God for the internet.
This Coronavirus will eventually subside and go away. Don't let the liberal media give you an unnecessary panic. Still, don't let your guards down, either. Just don't panic. Now, do take precautions and wash your hands.Posted 03-08-2020 at 08:23 PM by case44
