Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Wake Up? Yep, It's Time That America Became Unwoke

Posted 06-06-2021 at 05:12 PM by case44

Folks, what constructive thing is going to come from this increasing woke culture that is polluting the United States? As if America wasn't already divided enough, here comes the so-called Cancel Culture (and they don't deserve all caps) to dictate to us what they believe your life --- and our land --- should be.

Good grief, look at all the people who have gotten kicked off of Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube just in the last few months. All are conservatives and harbor conservative/patriotic/pro-America beliefs. We've become the victims. Big Tech, for what it's worth, is wreaking havoc on people's First Amendment rights. You can't even discuss the recent voter fraud scandal online without getting your voice censored. In essence, Big Tech (and unless they are on our side, I don't know why all caps are being used here, either) is clearly and decisively the enemy of the people. Coca-Cola has just coaxed Major League Baseball into moving this year's All-Star Game out of Atlanta just because Georgia is simply trying to straighten out voter laws, which, now, is too little, too late. Coca-Cola has become a woke company. Lately, this writer has not purchased Coke products simply because they no longer wish to share my values or the things that made America great. Woca-Cola??

Make America Great Again was a great campaign slogan, and it was also great policy during what is now the previous presidential administration. It certainly is not practiced in any way by Joe Biden* and his minions. Especially when you see the feeble "big guy" flip-flopping just make everyone in his deeply-divided party happy. This is stark contrast, if you take a look at it carefully. Woke culture isn't interested in making America great again or keeping America great. It isn't interested in engaging with others even in disagreement. You see what kind of damage wokeness is doing to our great country.

I still miss the MAGA message and the policies of President Donald J. Trump before he was rudely sent out of office by rampant voter fraud. MAGA has been replaced by &#@%, but that's clearly what the left in this country would rather we have. Woke culture is destructive culture, and it's my most fervent prayer is that many eyes will be opened to this horrible cancer that's been thrust on society. While Trump improved the economy in ways never before seen, doing what no ordinary politician would do, the culture will take a lot of time to change. Yes, it's divided, and, yes, some folks out there have indoctrinated with garbage ideology. But there are some out there who have seen the light; we just need a lot more to do so. People need to see the good in others. They need to look for the good.

Face it, sports fans: If you want ordinary politicians to take care of your well-being, then you will be disappointed. Conservatives and patriots must stand and must fight back against woke culture. This country is bigger than any president or person, and also bigger than any culture. This is America, and we shall overcome. We must.

Here's what Joe Biden* said the other day: "The biggest threat to our country is climate change...."

No, it isn't, Joe. It's your party and all the motives it has; that's what the biggest threat is. Woke culture is not constructive at all; it is destructive. It serves no other purpose than dividing and giving negative labels to certain people. It's also discriminatory.

By the way, keep your ears out for Plugs. He's uttered three different "threats" to our society in his phony-arse speeches the last few weeks. Wonder what his latest "threat" will be the next time he hits a podium?? What a flip-flopper.

Cancel culture would be best off just canceling each other out. That appears to be where it's headed.
