We are currently living in Richfield in a hotel, but need a place that is cheaper and bigger. My credit is not the best because of a divorce, but I've had my job for a long time and can afford a place. It looks like Randolph and Canton have the least expensive places that might not worry about my credit. However, I can't tell via online research whether these places are good for living. My son has developmental delays and needs special medical attention. Are these good education and development areas for kids?

I am also pretty familiar with Akron so far, Fairlawn and Howe Avenue are good parts I've found and frequent. Richfield is a pleasant suburb near Fairlawn, other little towns and moderate shopping also okay. I also looked at a place that was near Ghent Ave. and that was a nice area.

Can either Canton or Randolph provide me with a similar living experience to any of these areas in Summit County and is there diversity in these areas as well?

Also, I receive food stamps and medical through Summit County. Will I have to reapply and go through everything again if I move to Randolph (Portage County) or Canton (Stark County)? Based on the websites I've found it seems like all of Ohio is just connected, so I would have to just notify them of change of address, but I'm not sure.

Randolph is fairly rural althought it isn't too fair from civilization.

Canton has neighborhoods all over the map so there isn't a blanket answer other than yes, there are similarities.
