Hi all,
I am from Alabama and am coming up to visit a good friend close to Palmer next week. I know you are probably tired of people wanting to move to your beautiful state. I really would love to move there and feel it would be home for me and my two teens. My children are respectful, I love to fish, hunt (follow the rules too and only to eat), love to cook southern food, like to garden,canning, and am a nurse and a navy veteran too so I could give back to the community too. I am doing my homework as much as possible learning about life there. Hoping to look at some cabins / maybe some places that need some TLC and will be less expensive to live in. Just wanted to thank you for this forum and all you time /effort helping us here. I CANT Wait to get there!

You sound like a person who would like living in Alaska. Check things out when you're up here and you'll get a better idea, but it sort of sounds like you've made up your mind and are ready to live here. Welcome!

Good luck Wynter! You're going to Barrow, right? Keep an open mind........and remember they've seen many of "you" come and go. Even in Anchorage, it took a few months for my co-workers to realize I was still here, and then be interested in getting to know me better.
