Do they send them out half cooked and you finsh them off at the house or are they done?

I think out of Nome there is/was a Pizza place that sends them out half cooked then you finish them off at the house. Use to be $25 for a very large Pizza delivered to an airport near you!

I'll find out in the morning.

Hunting/fishing trips upriver we'd stop by there for a pizza. When the ice road is all the way up there in the winter, we get some to go and bring them back with us. Nothing like a 300 mile round trip for pizza!

I really like this show. It amazes me that even the simplist things (like a pizza) have to be flown. And Ariel is a real treat to watch. Just goofy enough to be entertaining.

Most of the groceries are shipped via air cargo here to the hub city of Southwest Alaska and flown by three air carriers to the villages. It's called Bypass Mail, the government wants to do away with it. They say that it's hurting the US Postal Service because they don't make any money off of it. If they did away with it, goodbye to the villages.

But it wasn't touched this time...

Alaska senators pleased that new legislation preserves bypass mail service for state | The Republic

I didn't bother calling Aniak, it's storming here. I don't think anyone will be flying today.
