So it's official, the fiancee and I are headed to Bethel to work at the hospital. This will be my first contract as a travel nurse. She gets there on May 3rd and I'll be there the 23rd, once I finish my two week notice in Barrow and get stuff packed for shipping. I needs must get together with the Barrow crew before I head out!

Did the Arctic just take its toll on you, or are you moving for better work opportunities? I thought I remembered you being one who loves Barrow, so I was just wondering what it is that makes you want to leave. I'm always curious about these things, you know. Especially as they relate to Alaska.

Wynternight - What will you guys be doing at the hospital??? I don't work in Bethel, but I do take a couple of trips a year to Bethel to meet people at the hospital and the public health staff.

I'll be moving to Bethel for a travel assignment at the hospital, too. I'll be there in mid-May. Kinda intimidated about the cost of living. I've already started stocking up on dry goods to take with me.
