Chris, now that I think about it there is a rock that has been carved on the trail that says "Ice Limit 1920"

I've been down that trail. There's a wooden bridge over the falls.

Cori, since you like glaciers here are a couple of shots of Mendenhall Glacier from a different angle, taken from along side the Mendenhall River downstream a ways from the glacier.
Wide angle shot


and zoomed in a tad.


It was a gloriously beautiful day today in Juneau

Thank you so much, Dave...I'll gladly keep the snow here if you are able to capture such splendid images. I hope one day to make it down that direction to see firsthand the Mendenhall...I'll hire you for a guide
