Well that's what I figured, but I was wondering if gas is cheaper in road system towns than it is in the bush.

Was about $4.15 in Anchorage last week, and I just paid $4.51 at the cheapest place in Valdez. I think the highest I've seen at that station this year was $4.69. Between me and my guy, we spend about $12 a day just going to work and back.

^ Actually $12 a day is not bad. I spend about $10 a day. See, you get a trade-off living in a small town in Alaska. Expensive gas, but not many miles. I put an average of 25-30k miles on a car every year, and my $10/day figure is in a car that gets 28 mpg in town! I'm paying exactly 90 cents less than you are in VDZ.
