That 4th Ave theater is the one store front that I remember as far back as 1968. Seems everything else has changed. Sad that it just sits there doing nothing.

I took it last week. Been trying to figure out what settings to use on my camera when taking monochromes at night.

No offense, but you still need to work on it.

Yep, trying to master the manual settings on the camera is tough. It's only the 5th time I've tried to do anything in monochrome at night. Took one of the bridge over at the Campbell Creek Airstrip park and it came out a little better but it was right at sunset so still had plenty of light.

Might almost be better to take in color on auto and then have the computer make it black and white. I also like sepia tone.

The bridge picture looks good.

Night shots are tough! And messing with the settings will make you a better photographer.

The McKay's Buntings finally showed the other day in Bethel. Sign of spring! McKay's nest on the Pribolofs and winter on the west coast of Alaska.

Shot with a manual focus 800mm lens. Hard to focus right on the spot.
McKay's Bunting.

A couple of Chickadees

Is this the big Canon 800mm lense? Have you tried going up on shutter speed a bit?
