ROFL! Actually, I've seen two off of the Glenn on the way into work and two more last Saturday right on Northern Lights about a mile off of Old Seward. My visitors remarked that why go to Denali when all you have to do is drive the streets of Anchorage to see wildlife!

Lol, I guess they don't like it around here. I live in a horse neighborhood where everyone lets their dogs run around freely so I don't know if that would have an impact.

My Lab was huddled on the balcony....she ran indoors after letting out a bark. She knew better than contend with them.

Smart dog. That's a battle that no canine can win.

They returned twice more as I mentioned...and these are from the second visit. The third time the daylight had faded and I couldn't get a clear photo. One of the young came over to the steps of the balcony and looked up at me...it would've been a fine shot, but alas...and with much shame...my battery died at that moment.
The last image is of Mama making short work of my choke-cherry bush, I believe.

I have a healthy respect for all of Nature..but no matter how I framed a shot...there just isn't any way to make these beasts attractive! The young remind me of wart-hogs.

I guess my subdivision, even though everyone has several acres, is a little too "urban" for the liking of moose. Shame...

They are fine beasts in their own right. Have you seen any on the rides home at night on the Parks?
