Yes, I ordered a spare battery. I still need a tripod. It's cloudy here. I'm off to bed, working at 8am. Goodnight kids.

The tripod I have I picked up at Sportsman's Warehouse. It sure is durable - unless you are the husband and impatient. It doesn' stand up to much abuse at -30º temps. It's a little on the heavy side, but with Wyoming winds, I went through three or four of the cheap ones.

Definitely extra memory and a remote.
Then you'll need filters for your lenses.

I was at Best Buy a few weeks ago, Joe-Joe and they had a nice Canon backpack. Not quite sure about the cost - somewhere around $70-80 I think. Had compartments for everything and then some.
