Ya i also too live in Mike Cadigan's district, and once i almost got into a fight with the guy i cant stand him at all. I have another house over on the far westgate heights area and Ken Sanchez is the councilor over there he is far better than mike, but the dem councilors are just wack.. we need more republican city leaders, funny how i say that cuz i'm hardcore democrat.. haha

I'm sorry, Bradly, but I don't take these too seriously. They are based on forecasts -- and we have the data now for 2007 and part of 2008 -- why still look at forecasts?

The OFHEO data based on same house sales shows an one-year appreciation for ABQ at the end of the first quarter 2008 of about 1%. That makes ABQ the highest in NM by a very small amount and 124th nationwide. It is still positive, when it is negative many places -- but is nowhere near top 25.

Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight

Also who is it exactly who is doing these forecasts that you cite? They seem to believe that mortgage rates have dropped. Have they been to the bank recently?

Also why is that the ten "Hottest Markets" that they list http://www.housingpredictor.com/hot.html are not identical with the first ten of their top 25 Markets http://www.housingpredictor.com/top2008.html (broken link) ??? ABQ is number 10 on one list and 17 on the other??
