In N Out is OK and a few steps ahead of McDonald's or Burger King, but not even in the same class as Lottaburger. Does Alb. have Fat Burger? Way better than In N Out. I wish we had Lottaburger in Las Vegas, which is better than Fat Burger, and Fat Burger is the best in town here. Even Whataburger is better than In N Out.

BTW: They changed those bumper stickers so you can't make them say "In N Out Urge" anymore. I don't know why they did. They were getting a lot of free advertising from them.

Because they're all freakin' ground beef on a couple of pieces of soft, whitebread.

Then again, I've never had In and Out burgers. Maybe they would redefine my notion of "Hamburgers".

No. Lotaburgers are a way of life.

no they don't plus you are talking about a $1.75 burger compared to a 5.00 burger...I know food is subjective, but how anyone could think Whataburger was even 50% as good as In and Out is beyond me. I guess we all have our own tastes. I will say, I have rarely been to an In and Out without finding it packed, and rarely been to a Whataburger and found it even busy...

Although I agree that an In N Out Burger would be a great addition to Albuquerque, I must admit my preference for a Blake's Lotaburger (not to be mixed up with Whataburger) over the California mainstay.

Whenever, I spent time in California, I usually made it to an In N Out at least once. Don't get me wrong - they make one hell of a burger. But I would take Blake's (or even a particular Sonic location) over In N Out. They do make great burgers, but I am not too keen on their french fries. Yes, the fries are indeed fresh cut, but they don't double fry them, and they tend to be a little bit too limp/non-crispy for my tastes.

IMHO In N Out Burger might not be as great of a success in the long run... NM already has its great burger chain (Blakes) and could end up being a disappointment from a business standpoint. But then again, all the California transplants to NM would go there all the time, I'm sure. So don't quote me

Lotta Burger better than In N Out?
No way.......Blakes quality has just gotten BAD!!
Everything at In N Out is fresh including the fries that are cut on site, thats what has kept them from expanding too far east. The beef is never frozen, so they don't place restaurants too far from their distribution points.

It's been a long time since I had a Whataburger so maybe my memory has failed me. But Fat Burger is by far better than In N Out. Maybe Lottaburger is only good because it's large and they put green chili on it, but it is better than In N Out for the same reason. I wouldn't be wishing for too many California anythings...you might get what you wish for. I don't think NM is ready to be Californicated. In Nevada we have been completely taken over by them and it ain't purdy. The war in Bosnia was over the invasion of something like a mere quarter million people. In Las Vegas we were invaded by over a million carpet baggers from the Socialist Republik of Kalifornia and they're still coming. New Mexico is unique. You should keep it that way.

I totally agree. We were cooking for the Moose Lodge in Belen about a year ago and after fixing meals for about 80 people we ran out of food so didn't get to eat. Starving and very tired we headed to our nearby Blakes, it had to be the worst burger we have had in years and not all the cheap, considering. When we first moved to NM we thought they were pretty good, not as good as some of our favorites, but certainly good, everytime we stopped they seem to get worse and they were never crowded. I am not just talking about the one in Belen. I am talking about them all over the ABQ area. Oh well, for those who like the place, good for them.

Buzz, the last Blakes we had was anything but large. As for Fat burger, again this is a matter of taste, but yes, they are bigger than I and O but are 3 times more expensive. I would hope they would be bigger.
