In due respect to the Moderator "observer53" I'll keep my post in line to the topic (AZ).

Thank you.
Of course "everyone has an opinion". And when you post here, you'll hear them.

I'm not sure what you mean by "anti American" people, but I'll hazard a guess that you will find people who fit your definition everywhere, including AZ. If you haven't encountered any while you are here, that's great. But please do not give the impression that there are no such people here in AZ.

I guess I'm even more confused by the title to your thread than I was in the first place.

I know some people that were born and raised in AZ are going to say that AZ has its problems as well.but compared to NY****ty AZ is paradise...I can say that because I experienced both worlds.

I believe that you move to a different part of the country because you like the way that State is organized and feel that you'll adopt or believe in their laws and beliefs "It should not be the other way around"

Does anyone else feel the same way?
This is a question, so I will answer it. Being a Liberal, Democrat and living near Prescott, AZ I am the minority, very few neighbors will associate with me. I don't fit in to this conservative, REpublican, Tea Party, Fox News watchers area. I am not anti-American but your rhetoric is that of Rush Limbaugh, Shaun Hannity and all Fox News pundits. If you find your area becomes too diverse, too anti-America, Liberal, move to Prescott, their hero is John McCain. [mod cut-- personal]

Oh, I'm still confused, as I'm not entirely sure what you mean by a "true American" state-- but my guesses based on your subsequent posts may give me an idea.

Thanks smilinpretty, so you agree that AZ is the right place for me to live? [mod cut- orphaned, off topic]

Interesting topic...and of course you are going to see people's definition of "All American" are going to differ or that being "All American" is actually a detriment. Kind of interesting (from the political perspective) that people are complaining that the state is becoming "Blue". We have had a mixture of the parties in the Governor's office and State Legislature, sure since the 1940s the state has pretty much been "Red" on the federal level...not saying this is good or bad but as people move here from different locales bringing their ideals and morals with them, I think it lends more to your "All American" quality in that we can debate good and bad ideas from whatever side they come from. I feel that if people actually sat down and talked about their perspectives rather than labeling someone a "Fox News Drone" or a "leftist hippy socialist" there is a lot of middle ground that could be found.

That being said I don't think that because we are historically a conservative state it necessarily means we are more "All American". Pretty sure they have Baseball, Apple Pie and Mom in other states .

I am pretty sure that not every one living in AZ who isn't into progressive, collective politics is also a Republican-TeaParty-FoxNews watcher, smilinpretty.

I certainly don't like either major party at this time, nor have I for quite some time. I am not into progressivism, but can't stand to watch Fox News.

Just sayin'

The Navajo, Hopi, Havasupai, Tohono O'odham, etc., are about as "true American" as they come.
