Wow! I had no idea that we Ohioans were so popular for Cornhole!? That kind of scares me!
It's actually a pretty fun game...Okay, you guys are effectively scaring me about the commuting/traffic situation! I will definitely come out and drive around a bit before I make a decision...thanks for all of your advice! |

I guess not everyone agrees. I have lived in Arizona City for 7 years. My hubby worked in Phoenix for five of them, and Tucson for two of them. The commute time is the same no matter what. I have a friend that works in Gilbert and it takes her over an hour to get to work in Phoenix because she sits in traffic. My hubby hit straight freeway and would make it in an hour. The same is true for Tucson. Yes he drives an hour each way every day. But what is the difference between driving and sitting on the freeway not moving. It all takes an hour. Gas is a bit pricey, but its the price we pay to have the small town atmosphere. Casa Grande is great and growing steadily for the past 5 years or so. The schools are better there than in Eloy (yuck) and Arizona City. Coolidge is growing too, but not as much as Casa Grande. If you are looking for a small town, It is possible to have the best of both worlds. Maricopa is also booming right now and has been for about 5 years. Its all new developments in both places, some older houses and stores, but mostly new. Good luck to you! I hope you find happiness wherever you end up

Cornhole......fun game, embarrassing name.
![]() Imagine Horseshoes, but instead of throwing horseshoes and trying to ring them around a metal stake, you're tossing beanbags (usually filled with unpopped popcorn - thus the name) and trying to get them into a hole on an inclined board. For some strange reason, it's very popular here in Cincinnati. Of course, this is a strange town. We put chocolate in our chili, eat something called "goetta", and celebrate flying pigs. ![]() |
