I'm going to be making a FAST move to St. Johns right after Thanksgiving. I'm running into walls looking for apartments and small houses. Any suggestions?

Default Rude...this thread is how old...

Umm are you crazy? There are no apartments in St. Johns. Its a little crackhead town and dose not even have a real grocery store to speak of.

Mod Cut: Language.

Never heard of there being any apartments over there. Closest I suspect would be Benson. Mostly houses and small ranches in St Johns. Use to be a big Mormon settlement. Probably still is.

Benson, Arizona1?

Isn't St Johns in the middle of nowhere North and East of Show Low?

We drove through St Johns, AZ, this past weekend and dined at Iggy's Cafe. It is in fact a little place smack out in the middle of nowhere. There would be no such thing as an apartment building so you would be looking for a house. We did not explore the town but to be sure you can expect to drive 30 (Springerville on AZ 260) to 60 (Holbrook on I-40) miles to the next largest town for shopping opportunities.

Benson is NOWHERE near St. John's. You are thinking of St. David, I think. Completely different place.

If I google St John's AZ apartments, I get a few hits, but I have no idea what they are like. Are you moving there for a job? Can your employer be any help? It is the county seat, but it's a small county in terms of population.

Hmmmmmm, Crown . . . sounds like you have the same impression of SJ that I had while "passing through" a couple years ago.
