{geek}...you may have a problem in Arizona finding a place that's both not too hot and not too cold.....since we aren't on an ocean and have very dry air, temperature swings are great day to night and summer to winter....

all those requirements you hope for seem to make the two big cities your only choices, though you won't find a 24/7 circus going on!....I don't think there's an aquarium here, either.....

have you thought about the San Diego area?...I mention it because of your weather requirements, since being near an ocean moderates the temps. but only if you're within a few miles of the coast (prices are $$$, though)

I'd rather not live in CA. I'm not crazy about it, have been there a few times.

I live in a rural area of Springfield, IL and there's ZERO here to do. We don't even have any kids in our neighborhood so my son has no one to play with.

In order to see the circus, we'd have to travel 100s of miles away to Chicago to catch it when it passes through there. The circus doesn't book any dates here in Springfield.

We're big fans of the Aquarium, so any place that's within range with one would be great.

I don't mind traveling about 20-30 miles for the things we enjoy, but a place with the weather requirements is what we're looking for due to health reasons.

I know we're going to have to do a lot of research to find what we're looking for. However, asking folks here for input is a very big help during the process.

Thanks for your input.

Yeah, I'm open to TX. I've been there before and loved it. Back before I completely lost my eyesight I went into the AF and spent some time at Lackland AFB. I loved San Antonio.

Of course, I wasn't in the AF too long ... they told me I was "too blind to be there" and that I shouldn't have been processed in to begin with.
