I can't say we have concidered or visited all of the sights you are considering, but I have to agree with Sam I am: Eureka Springs and Hot Springs are tourist centers, especially during the warmer months. Bothe areas are deversified and on the liberal side, if this is what you want, go for it. BV and Mountain Home are more conservative. From what we have seen and heard I would lean toward Bella Vista. Yes, it is near the NW Ar boom, but even that is probably awhile away. Right now we are considering BV and Russellville: each for different reasons.

I currently live in Cotter (when I'm not at school)- which is 15 min. from Moutnain Home. I would highly recomend the area.

Mt Home and the surrounding area has an active social life- concerts on the square two rival (very rival) community theaters- of course the church life, and lots of natural joys. There is a huge community involvement here. Just today we kicked off our anual Red White and Blue festival with a parade and a rodeo. Tomorrow we have all kinds of events and rides in hot air balloons and fireworks at ASUMH. Our independance Eve on the lake fireworks display is amazing. IMO its one of the best in the state- but I'm biased. I guess Bull Shoals is nice too.

Oh yes- we have 2 lakes and 2 rivers. Beautiful clear water and great fishing year round.

There are rarely tornados here. I think there were 2 warnings last year. . . but I was down in Walnut Ridge so I don't remember for sure. But no touch downs. The Lightning storms are really something to see.

I don't know about the other two- but I will say that my parents and I love visiting Eureka Springs. The architecture there is gorgeous.
