well except building large gambling resort, now that is less possible.. because the conservatives will protest about this and burn the place to the ground....

even the miss world event is only complained by small group of people, why should we care about this when majority of the people actually have no big deal about it
Our minorities too, they have their freedom to do what they want. Practice their traditional and beliefs. As a Catholic, we can actually do what we want to do too. We are democratic country.

There is FHM Bikini Party in Boracay

There's also Miss Bikini Philippines, maybe you also have

Well to say which type of music here is hard, we actually have a lot of local music that are being played all around more than the usual ones, Koreans is definitely out, (ps: and im really surprised that Gangnam style and gentleman is still roled in Bangkok and KL LOL!) Christian Bautista and Josh Groban is not that famous in Indonesia, is he famous in Philippines?

Bikini contest a big NO NO in Indonesia lol, we used to have it just fine until few years ago that they banned bikinis in public due to mainstream protest, though they give more freedom to areas that are not Muslim dominated (like Bali or Papua).... we are also democratic however there are certain conservative group that prevent us from doing total freedom, usual stuff like kissing in public or free sex is discourage atleast we are not as bad as Middle East where everything seems illegal.

well if its not public then we can do whatever we want! drinking alcohol in public usually have no problem in less conservative area like Jakarta or Bali

^Well Christian's genre is not that most of Filipinos type of music. Although, he have few famous songs but the rest nope. it's kind of boring. lol that Gangnam style reach the Philippines too but right now I don't think it's still that famous there. Actually, the only people that listen and watch KPOP are those Koreanovela fanatics and fans of Sandara Park. A Korean who used to live there for few years and became actress and became part of 2N1 KPOP Band that's how some Filipinos started to appreciate KPOP watch and appreciate it and because there's also a lot of Korean expats in the Philippines. You'll see some areas with a lot of Korean Restaurant & Stores.

Well it's because of the protest that happened during the Miss World specially they are majority Muslim, that's why I thought they are conservative as they are not allowed to wear bikini except in Bali and other areas where non-muslim don't dominates the area.

Koreans eh? In Indonesia we have Japanese more because of the large pressence of Japanese company here, we even get little Tokyo festival in Jakarta held every year. Pressence of Japanese stores, shops and tenant is quiet strong too!

Exactly, the mainstream is indeed annoying, most of us were waiting for it to happen here not just Bali. The mainstream group is called FPI and we dont like them that much.

Just type anti fpi on google, you will see how much we dont want them. Those group consist mostly of unemployed people who got nothing better to do and are sometimes paid to wreck havoc.

Philippines by a long shot. They're sort of Hispanic, I guess, so that automatically makes them much more culturally compatible with me than Indonesians.

We actually do not compared ourselves when it comes to robotics. I know Japan is usually #1 on robotics.
at least Filipinos talent is getting used and appreciated by fellow Filipinos. Sometimes they just need budgets and support.

ahh i see... its true even in our country budget and support is in desperate need.... the government should work more on supports than letting our talented, gone into the US or Europe because their talent is alot more supported and appreciated there.
